A Happy and prosperous new year
to all. Did you ever wonder where
the name of your street came
from? Or "how did that corner,
township, or other local geography
aquiring it's moniker?" Well, once
again, even though it was cold
outside, Bill Stavana led us through
the paces with a some history,
nostalgia, and gave us an "OH - so
that's why that particular street has
two names and that's how they got
there." As always, it was fun
entertaining and everyone learned.
And that's the way learing should
be - fun and entertaining. Other
Highlights included preparations
for the March 20th, 2010, spaghetti
dinner and a a tentative plow day of
April 24th. It looks like we'll be
having our first ever spring show
on the grounds of our new property.
And as Dorothy said, "there really is
no place like home". Hope to see
you there on May 22. And if you
can't make it, then stop in for a
heaping helping of spaghetti on
March 20th.
